A docuseries following two brothers chasing alchemist dreams in the Mojave Desert.

In 2021, Kai Fogelquist and I, joined by our piñata companion Albert, set out on a trip to the Mojave Desert in search of meaning. We were inspired by The Alchemist, Mac Miller, and that restless feeling of wanting more from life than what was right in front of us.

What unfolded was one of those trips that feels bigger the further away you get from it. We captured everything through video and photography. From Ouija board rituals and near-death moments, to bonfires, photoshoots, shooting BB guns in ridiculous costumes, playing volleyball in the sand, setting intentions and burning them. It was chaotic, sincere, playful, and strangely spiritual all at once.

This ended up being one of the most meaningful expeditions we went on together before we eventually went our own ways. Some stories don’t end so much as they pause. Who knows. Maybe there’s another chapter someday. That’s what family is for.
